Sciences en BD
Science isn't boring, quite the opposite!
It can be made fascinating, simply by using a bit of imagination...
We invite you to take a look at the content (comic strips) and testimonials below to learn more about a topic intimately linked to bariatric surgery: excess skin.
Indeed, the resulting excess skin is almost inevitable, but do we really understand what individuals living with excess skin have to face? What do we know about the subject?
During a symposium held on May 17, 2023, at the national Obesity Summit congress, a patient partner and three researchers delved into the issue.
Four comic strips inspired by the testimony and lectures were created by four comic artists trained at the Pavilion - School of Arts and Cultures (ÉdAC) at the Université du Québec en Outaouais.
Thank you for your interest in our research; we invite you to contact the CoActiv’Lab for any questions/comments.
